Olivia Munn and John Mulaney's wedding had an extra special dun dun.
Turns out, Newsroom the couple's nuptials were officiated by none other than Law & Order alum Sam Waterston, who costarred with Olivia on The Newsroom from 2012 to 2014, according to TODAY.com
Olivia and John tied on the knot during a private ceremony at a friend's home in New York over the July 4 weekend, with their 2-year-old son Malcolm in attendance.
The couple—who were first linked in 2021—celebrated their marriage just days after Olivia's 44th birthday July 3. For the occasion, she took a moment to reflect on the ups and downs she's experienced—including her breast cancer diagnosis—writing on Instagram July 3, "What a year."
Fortunately for Olivia, she's had John by her side through all of it.
"Thank you for fighting so hard to be here for us," the 41-year-old commented on her Instagram post sharing her diagnosis. "Malc and I adore you."
And Olivia is hopeful the couple will have more to look forward to, as she recently shared that they have discussed having more children—something she was afraid wouldn't happen because of her cancer.
"John and I had a long talk about it," she told Good Morning America in May. "We realized that we weren't done growing our family."
Olivia explained that following her double mastectomy, she went "through a round of egg retrieval," a process that in itself was scary because her cancer could feed off the hormones needed for the retrieval process.
"So I knew there was a risk," she continued. "And our doctor said, 'Look, we're gonna get one for you, and then we're gonna call it.'"
Their journey had a positive outcome.
"Our doctor called, and he said, 'Hey, we got the results back. It's two healthy embryos,'" she recalled. "We just started bawling crying, both of us."
She added, "We really just hope that it works out for us to be able to have another baby. We just want one more. I'm not gonna ask for too much more in this life, I promise. I just want one more baby."
